Members and associates.

Anyone with an involvement or interested in an aspect of sustainable development in Taitokerau who would like to contribute information, resources or advice was welcome to become part of this network, which was active in 2004-5 and helped set up this website after access to the materials produced by the James Henare Maori Research Centre was cut off when the Centre went into recess in January 2004 and its website was taken off line a few months later. A core group of researchers oversaw the completion and publication of some of the key reports that had been in preparation under the Centre's FRST-funded research programmes in 2003. These included:

Brenda Hay (Director, Aquabio Consultants Ltd)

Prof. Richard Benton (Director of the JHMRC 1999-2003)

Assoc. Prof. Val Lindsay (School of Marketing & International Business, Victoria University of Wellington)

Other people gave valuable advice and comments on work in progress which enabled the completion of a number of major reports. These included Kath and Andy Sarich (Waimate North), Joe Topia (Panguru), Fr Tony Brown (Panguru), Hiwi Tauroa (Whangaroa), Tukaki Waititi (Kaikohe) and Wallace Wihongi (Kaikohe).
